OpenERP - RFID Time Attendance Terminal Integration
Time recording systems are always subject to company-specific or country-specific rules, which is why it was particularly important for us to use a simple system with Sign-In and Out stamps.
We have integrated the “Officetimer II” RFID terminal by ADC Elektronik, based on licence-free software. The system can be operated using RFID chips in card or key-ring form. As communication takes place directly between OpenERP and the terminals, this solution, unlike many others, does not require a separate database/software for synchronisation with the terminals. The system language can be changed by the manufacturer.
In OpenERP, time intervals for Sign-In and Out functions can be defined for each terminal, meaning there is generally no need to manually enter data on the device itself. The stamp reason can, of course, be selected manually if necessary.
